Two motorcyclists killed in head-on collision on East-West Highway in Gauriganga
KATHMANDU: Two motorcyclists lost their lives in an East-West Highway motorbike collision that happened last night in Gopka, Gauriganga Municipality-1. One motorcycle (Se 6 Pa 6279) was heading east when it collided with another (Ba 95 Pa 9252), which was coming from the opposite way.
The victims have been identified as Nirmal Chaudhari, 20, of Janaki Rural Municipality-8, and Chiranjivi Malla, 26, of Shuklaphanta Municipality-7, both in the Kanchanpur district. Deputy Superintendent of Police Kabindra Singh Bohara said they have been identified.
Chaudhari and Malla were transported to a hospital in Dhangadhi with serious injuries, where doctors declared them dead.
One of the motorcyclists' pillion riders, Dipak Bohara, 22, is the third person receiving treatment at a nearby hospital. Another citizen of Shuklaphanta Municipality-7 is Dipak Bohara.
While making sure the person who was hurt gets the treatment they need, the police are looking into the situation further.
