Identities of victims in Pokhara school bus accident disclosed
KATHMANDU: The identities of those affected by the recent bus accident in Pokhara have been disclosed. The incident, which occurred at 8:55 AM today, involved a school bus (Ga 1 Ka 6219) from LP Devkota Memorial English Boarding School. The bus, traveling from Ramadi to Pokhara, fell approximately 50 meters off the road in Gudku, Pokhara Metropolitan City-21, after the driver lost control.
The accident tragically resulted in the deaths of Aarti BK, an office assistant at the school, and her five-year-old son, Prince BK. Among the 28 injured, several individuals are receiving treatment at various hospitals. At Gandaki Medical College, the injured include Anmol BK, 9; Roshan Baral, 5; Dipsan Karki, 14; Yona Gurung, 6; Dina Gurung, 13; Prakriti Karki, 15; Prince Rana, 6; Sija BK, 7; Prabesh Karki, 9; Bisika Paudel, 12; Bishwas Poudel, 11; Simran BK, 12; and Bivash Khatri, 11.
At Western Regional Hospital, the injured are Ananya Paudel, 8; Siman Magar, 3; Neujan Magar, 3; Rijan Magar, 7; Ram Krishna Nepali, 12; Ankit Khatri, 2; Sita Devi BK, 14; Ashmit BK, 7; Sumitra Sunar, 30; Nirdesh Sunar, 2; Sapana Ale, 30 (a teacher); and Nischal Sunar, 11. Moreover, Manipal Teaching Hospital is providing medical care for Tek Bahadur Bhujel, 55, the bus driver, Nishan Sunar, 8, and Sagar Thapa, 5.
