Bus and truck collision in Chitwan injures 10 passengers
KATHMANDU: In Rapti Municipality-5 in Chitwan, 10 passengers were injured in a bus and truck collision at Pampha Bridge. The bus was on its way from Kathmandu to Dharan when it collided with a truck that was also going in that direction on the East-West Highway.
According to Bheshraj Rijal, spokesperson for the District Police Office Chitwan, seven of the injured passengers sustained minor injuries, while the condition of three others is reported to be normal. The injured have been taken to the College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital and Alive Hospital and Trauma Centre in Bharatpur for treatment.
Both vehicles involved in the accident have been detained, and the drivers, Santosh Kumar Yadav of Saptari and Nirkumar Pradhan of Ramechhap, have also been taken into custody by the police.
